I like new moons. They're like reset buttons.
I was born on a new moon, which signifies a brand new karmic cycle. Being born on a full moon is a sign that you are ending a karmic cycle in your life time. I love the quietness of the new moon. Often for many it signifies a new beginning, and full moons represent endings. Sometimes though, I find it entertaining to experience it vice versa....endings on new moons and beginnings on full moons.
Some are more comfortable in new moons and other are more comfortable and find the energy more quiet around full moons. Personally, full moons can make it hard to sleep, which is when I use the energy scanning technique the Angels taught me years ago.
I love how ocean waves are bigger around full moons, because I have this love for watching surfers at the beach. It's soothing and exciting at the same time. (A new moon intention this month is to learn to bodyboard and maybe get the guts to learn to surf. Another is to travel to see waves all over the world - a childhood dream and obsession. I have this knowing of what it is to be in a barrel, yet have never done it.) By the way, watching waves is a form of meditation if you are looking for a new easy way to meditate.
New moons luckily have clearer skies, great for star gazing. So many things I love here on Kauai. Being on a tiny island in the middle of the Pacific ocean has it's advantages if you enjoy nature and a slower pace. This is the garden isle, after all.
Now is a great time to start or schedule the beginning of a new business. It's a time for setting new intentions of all kinds. Talking about this reminds me of a book called Each Day A New Beginning that my aunt used to read every day. It was a sweet, little green book that set intentions every day, gave you something to ponder about, journal on, and meditate on. A page for each day of the year. Every day really is a new beginning, and new moons provide the extra new energy. A new cycle begins. An old one ends. Which has me thinking of karmic cycles. Cycles in relationships. Which has me thinking about new tools I use like spraying the Violet Flame Spray of Light or the New Moon Spray of Light that helps with cycles.
Every new moon has a different vibe. Which do you prefer? Do you have a new or full moon ritual that you love?
There's a few moon ceremonies I like to use and I share a few of those in this older video of mine that I brought back from out of the vault. You can watch it below.
This video I love. It's older. Different hair. Back when I liked a little minimalistic make-up. It's a bit too humid for those things where I am now, but it is nice to look back at an older version of myself.and literally send myself love. Perhaps you do the same?
I hope you enjoy the video below. I enjoyed re-watching it myself. Reminded me of some self care tips I want to add back to my routine.
Sending you Lots of Love, Theresa
PS I didn't add links to products mentioned in this post because I wanted to reach out without things feeling sales-y. It's an interesting balance to try and let people know about new products and to know what things are interesting to share, just cuz. Like life, it's a process.
